Born in Northland Sharon developed her interest in painting while completing her University Entrance in art in 1981.After travelling overseas she eventually settled in Australia; drawing and painting intermittently until returning to New Zealand 3 years ago.

 
Sharon has developed her own style by the use of texture and earthy colours; painting contemporary nudes, portraits and abstracts using acrylics and oils. She has recently started exploring figurative sculpture in clay and stone.
 

Her work has been successfully exhibited and sold in Australia and New Zealand, and has had paintings commissioned by clients in Sydney, NZ and Belgium. Recent awards include merit in the abstract category of the Royal Easter Show 2007, and Peoples Choice Award Matariki Exhibition Northland 2007. She was also was selected for the North Shore City Art Awards 2008.
