It is important to keep the standard of Artlist and it's selection of artists high.  Artlist's services are available to professional artists who reside in New Zealand and fit within 1 or more of the following eligibility criteria:

• established artists,
• emerging full-time artists,
• artists whose primary source of income is from galleries, commissions and direct sales of their work, or
• artists who can show they have experience as a professional artist and are regularly producing new artworks although they may not be practicing full-time.

In some cases Artlist may allow a free listing until an artist meets the criteria above at which point they may upgrate to a standard or premium listing. Artlist will have the final decision as to eligibility for placement in the Artist Directory List.
